Shabushi by Oishi — Restaurant in Chalong

Honestly one of the worst sushi buffet experiences I’ve ever had.

🔴 Quality: ZERO (or below zero). • The salmon and crab were absolutely not fresh – rubbery texture and strange smell. • Most of the ingredients felt like they had been sitting out for hours.

🍲 They try to distract you with a lot of sauces and hotpot stuff, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of fresh, clean sushi. • Even the rice was dry and tasteless. • Staff was okay, but the food itself is way below acceptable.

❌ If you care about food quality – especially raw fish – I do NOT recommend this place at all. There are much better options in Phuket for sushi or Japanese food, even at similar prices.

Shabushi by Oishi Chalong's is a nice dining destination for anyone looking for Japanese food in a pleasant and hospitable environment and at a reasonable price. Considering the price i don't understand the 3.4 star rating, it deserves a little more. Whether you're a sushi lover or a hot pot fan, this restaurant has it all.
