Quick Summary: Top-notch staff + renowned and friendly chef + intimate dining space + affordable price + adorable hotel dog = an unforgettable experience!

Full Story: My husband and I were staying at the Olivie Boutique for our honeymoon and after a long day of walking around Chiang Mai we wanted a quick and tasty meal, so we decided to take advantage of the dinner hosted at the hotel. Walking in, we were met with immediate seating in a beautiful dining room but curiously no menus. We were just about to ask for them when we were brought out food we hadn't ordered and soon came to realize that we had gotten ourselves into a prix fixe, 5-course, French meal! We were served a wonderful variety of flavorful dishes, every single one of them were delicious~ The pictures below are in order of what we had: cold broccoli and cheddar soup topped with saffron, a French ham and onion soup souffle, a Japanese mackerel cake in a lemon herb hollandaise sauce topped with a poached quail egg and chili-chive garnish, parmesan mashed potatoes with a fluffy cheese croquette and roasted chicken in a red wine sauce, and finally a dessert combo of pavlova atop a liquor cream sauce and a classic creme brulee. We were so delightfully full and satisfied at the end, and H̄mī (Mee) the hotel's dog kept us entertained the whole night as he played with wine corks. Chef Jacky himself also came out between the courses to educate us about each dish and make sure we were having a good time~ And although we were unsure of how much this authentic French dinner in Chiang Mai would cost, we were so pleased to see that it was only $15 USD/480 TBH each! Everyone was so amazing, and it was the perfect end to our night. We actually changed our accommodation plans when flying back to the states just so we can have dinner there one more time, especially since Chef Jacky changes the menu every week! We can't wait to see...

I am extremely disappointed and irritated at this restaurant for what happened today. I made a reservation in advance and asked the staff if a credit card is available at their place. With a positive “YES”, I brought three credit cards from different banks. However, when I try to pay by my cards, I was told that All my three cards didn’t work. The cashier said it’s because of my cards’ problem. I was confused: is it possible that all credit cards from three banks don’t work well at the same time? Then I called my banks to figure out what is wrong wiz my cards. It turned out my cards are well-functioning. The restaurant then called their banks to check if there’s something wrong wiz their pos machine. Actually there is. So, here’s my question: in a situation like this, why don’t you find you own problem firstly? Instead, your people asked customers to call back home to check their cards, which was definitely unwise and time-consuming( I was with my parents and they have been feeling under the weather for a few days ) After this, the restaurant owner still insisted me to withdraw cash( the ATM machine is 2KM away) , providing two choices: you give me the money today or you come back here tomorrow. I am leaving tomorrow. So he took me to an ATM machine by some sort of motorcycle which was dangerous. I have to afford the extra charges from the bank and it was so damn hot out there! This is the worst experience ever! The restaurant doesn’t care about customers’ needs at all! They only care about the money and they are irresponsible for their promise! Folks, don’t go to this restaurant if you wanna have a nice meal in this city! They are not worth it! BTW, the staff will ask you to write a good review by give a shot of whiskey as complimentary! What...

A Culinary Gem: Jacky Show French Restaurant

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jacky Show, a French restaurant that left an indelible mark on my gastronomic journey. As someone who frequently writes reviews, I am often critical and have high standards, but this establishment exceeded all expectations, blending quality with affordability in a symphony of culinary excellence.

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance struck a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff, attentive yet unobtrusive, created a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel both valued and relaxed.

The menu, a testament to traditional French cuisine with a modern twist, offered an array of choices that catered to a wide range of palates. Each dish I tried was a revelation. The flavors were authentic, bold, and harmoniously balanced, showcasing the chef's mastery and respect for quality ingredients. The presentation of each dish was a visual feast, adding to the overall delight.

Notably, the price point of Jacky Show is astonishingly reasonable, especially considering the high caliber of the dishes served. It's a rarity to find such a harmonious blend of top-notch quality and affordability in the culinary world.

In conclusion, Jacky Show French Restaurant is not just a dining destination but a culinary beacon. It stands out not only for its delectable food but also for its incredible value. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. It's a place where each visit promises new delights and...
