Laab Ton Yang — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Lovely restaurant that looks popular with the locals! Almost full on a Sunday evening, with live music and a lovely atmosphere. Some interesting (local) dishes which I haven't seen on any menus before. We tried the raw buffalo meat (laap), but found the spices (cumin, I think) overpowering. None of us liked it! The deep fried small shrimps were delicious and probably our overall favourite dish. The deep fried fish was good, as was the buffalo heart. With the menu written in Thai and the staff's limited english (but 1000% better than our Thai!), I'm still not sure whether it was buffalo heart or something else!
