The Horse Barn Cafe — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

That was nice surprise to reach out this place. From beginning to end we were amazed by service level, kindness and open minded staff. We were greeted by delicious coffee shots and delightful view while waiting for manager to get free to service us. In Thailand life is relaxed and chilled, so if you have to wait, just use this time properly 😉

During coffee break manager introduced us to possibilities of routes and prices. I LOVED answer yes to any question. (if you wonder, you can ride up to the temple and down, it takes 2h)

So for us it was perfect to take ride for 1h, when firstly you get instructed, then try riding in circle, get comfortable on horse, while check your level and give advices. Then you go out with 3 (!!!) people escorting us. 2 persons for 2 horses, and 1 person as photographer (really nice girl, speaks really good english and even some russian). I think if you visit this place regularly / they know you, you can go on your own.

The most treasured thing about the trip is +250 photos and videos in a gallery. They put horses together, make background, scenes. Pictures look like we were alone there. Just us, on horses, in the forest. Wow, just wow.

Also want to point that horses look happy and well maintained. I was amazed how polite they are to hide in the grass to make pee pee. Or try not to eat too much grass to pause ride. Also after trip you can feed them for 50 baht.

Absolutely will come back to get to the top where the temple settled.

Absolutely amazing staff and experience. I am an equine physiotherapist and I can say these horses are in great condition, the staff are friendly and they also give you time to bond with your horse before riding them which in my eyes shows the care that goes into them. They had fun games with the children, boots and hat rental 50bht. Overall from an equine professional from England I give 5 star. Better than most in England:) I will be...

Finally the cafe is opened after covid, a great place for stop over coffee break or come here for horse riding lesson, currently 2800 baht 4 lessons, my son loved this...
