Good Carb กู๊ดคาร์บคาเฟ่ — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

Ordered a salmon and avocado salad for breakfast. Looked like a generous portion but it was deceivingly just loads of leaves, the occasional cooked salmon pieces (disappointingly not smoked salmon), semi bruised avocado and a dusting of horrid smelly cheese. Cost 220 baht (£4.91) which is very expensive for a dish that is 90% leaves. The guy saw I had not eaten the leaves and asked if it was ok. I told him I was unhappy with it, it was a lot of money for mostly leaves, he offered to add more salmons and I refused because the fish didn't taste that good and I didn't want more food. I know that when the Owner is not around is always a risk as the staff don't follow the standards and is not always the owners fault, so this is a constructive review. but the sandwich that they served me today here was absolutely unacceptable, a real shame, when I show the staff why is like that ,they looked at me with 0 explanations, a mini piece of unflavoured chicken( not even salt)50% smaller than the bread so you basically eat bread if you hungry.... And 0 taste , hope they take note on that because is a pity a good atmosphere being killed by not...

It’s a nice, spacious cafe that’s also a hostel. The owner is a very sweet lady. The broccoli soup and bread was so tasty and well balanced. The latte was great as well. I also really liked that they had habanero Tabasco! That was pretty cool. They’ve got a nice breakfast, coffee, and pastry selection. A good place to begin your day...
