McDonald's — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

One might think that being an American franchise staff might speak basic English? Nope! Took my filet of fish back to counter because it was basically fried to death in oil to the point it was hard.

I pointed out to the girl and thinking she understood I went and sat down. She returned 10 minutes later with the same over cooked filet of fish and a plastic knife? She then wanted to know if they could cut the burger in half for me?

Obviously the staff aren’t trained as anyone with a brain could see that the burger was cooked to death!

I said thank you and proceeded to throw my meal into the trash. Only then did the light bulb go on in her head.

For a country that boasts English as a second language it’s a...

ENGLISH I don't know what the future holds for Mc Donalds in Thailand - even in this branch...a really modern one...the burgers were once again only "usable" and the service only mediocre.

Are there no more internal testers, who test your branches for the worldwide consistent quality of products and service?

Especially with the exorbitant prices for burgers in direct comparison to other Asian countries, they should be prepared properly - anything else only damages the company's reputation.

There is also a lot of optimization potential here!

DEUTSCH Ich weiß nicht was das noch werden soll mit Mc Donalds in Thailand - auch in dieser Filiale...eine wirklich moderne...waren die Burger wieder einmal nur "brauchbar" und der Service wiederum nur Mittelmaß.

Gibt es denn keine internen Tester mehr, die Eure Filialen auf die weltweit gleichbleibende Qualität von Produkten und Service hin testen?

Insbesondere bei dem für Asiatische Länder im direkten Vergleich doch exorbitanten Preisen für die Burger, sollten diese dann doch auch ordentlich zubereitet werden - alles andere schadet lediglich dem Ruf des Unternehmens.

Auch hier gibt es eine Menge an Optimierungs-Potential!

The McDonald's in Chiang rai has recently changed to automatic self ordering system. While I am not a fan of this I understand we have to move with the times. I hope no staff lost there jobs over that. The food is as you would expect and the staff are all very helpful. The seating area is always clean.
