exceptional thai food for this area (excessively touristy; this from a local); the food here is thai-thai as opposed to touristy-thai; it is the real thing; actually not thai but the chicken wings are excpetional;' the pad cha pla (fish) is very good; beer available; some english; friendly staff; parking is spotty; only one of the 4 tables has high backed chairs; cute pomeranian dog onsite; nice view of the river; "half-touristy" prices; recommended

I came across this place my first day exploring Chiang Saen. I ordered the krapao with a fried egg and was not disappointed by anything. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food and price were great. The cherry on top is the peaceful view as you are at the intersection of the golden triangle watching the fisherman and boats move...

I'm not sure this is even the correct business on Google Maps but it's certainly the right location - next to "Border Crossing Point" station. Anyway this little shack restaurant is run by a lady by herself, but the food is fantastic, not to mention the lovely peaceful view. Specialty is the fish caught in the same river...
