Ramruay Pochana Rama 3 — Restaurant in Chong Nonsi Subdistrict

Came to Ramruay Pochana Rama 3 for one reason and one reason only — the duck — and broooo it delivered like a crispy, juicy legend straight from the poultry hall of fame hahaha 🦆🔥 I don’t know what magic they do in that kitchen but the roast duck here is glossy, glistening, and giving “I woke up like this” vibes. Skin? Crispy like it trained in a tempura dojo. Meat? Tender and full of that rich ducky goodness that makes you forget your ex and your cholesterol levels at the same time.

The sauce that comes with it? Sweet, salty, sticky — like edible gold. I was dipping everything in it: duck, rice, dreams, regrets. Even the rice was like “yes chef!” and vibed perfectly with every bite 🍚✨

Did I plan to eat a whole plate by myself? No. Did I do it anyway and consider a second order? Also yes. Duck here doesn’t just...

I’m mean you do have go to check out the guitar chicken. The restaurant is kind of a series of 4 eating rooms. I guess so they can cater for groups. First impressions are that the place could do with a bloody good tidy up. Not so that you destroy its unique atmosphere but there is kind of different piles of junk lying around everywhere. Once you have worked your way past that you’re good. I did the guitar chicken and Peking duck. Both OK. Not the best Peking duck I’ve ever had but not the worst. Chicken was a little dry but 100% crispy. The side orders of vegetables were excellent as were the pork dim sum. Overall worth a visit if you’re in town for a while. Tip if you head down the alley behind the restaurant you can see the place where they prepare the chickens...
