Samyan Seafood — Restaurant in Chong Nonsi Subdistrict

I recently visited Samyan Seafood (39) for a birthday lunch with my family of ten. The overall experience was mixed. The restaurant has a spacious and classic ambiance that feels welcoming for family gatherings. However, the food took about an hour to arrive, which was quite a long wait, especially with a large group.

The portion sizes were generous, which is great for sharing, but the taste was average—nothing particularly outstanding, though satisfying enough if you’re just looking for standard seafood dishes.

We went there about 07:40pm. The restaurant show closed sign in front of the door at 10:00pm so we have plenty times and decides to order many foods in one time ordered but about 08:50pm while we’re enjoy our food, staff came at the table with Bill and asking if we need to pack our food home? And said restaurant will closed at 09:00pm not 10:00pm as the closed sign show in front of the door (What? How we supposed to know? ) So sad we ordered a lot of food and thought we can have a good time and enjoy our dinner a bit longer because it’s only 08:50pm!!!! And food is not cheap but the service…. Food Quality was not good. Only decent menu was the Steamed Fish and Crab meat curry. The rest was not of any standard poor taste and texture, Shrimp vermicelli shrimp quality wasn’t good, Peking Duck was all dried chewy, Goose feet egg noodles poor flavor, and more. In addition the owners baby was staying somewhere behind the reception in a baby cot or something we didn’t see but heard the baby crying and restaurant music was playing baby music. Basically it’s an old school used to be good and now they have succeeded and they couldn’t care less.
