Honestly, i don't know what to say. Idk how this place has a Michelin star. We went as a group of 8 people. As soon as we reached, we weren't welcomed or greeted at all. Alright no worries about that. We sit down to eat, the tables and chairs are very very uncomfortable. Still okay no worries. We ordered crab fried rice, chicken fried rice, tomyum soup, fried anchioves, a cabbage salad, two salt crusted sea bass, some fried chicken wings, and 2 plates of mango sticky rice. Now, the crab fried rice, the salt crusted sea bass, and the fried anchioves were all really tasty, no complains for those. BUT let's talk about the chicken fried rice now. It literally felt like they bought some chicken strips and just threw them in the rice. The pieces of chicken were just massive, and really not enjoyable to eat. The cabbage salad was literally sitting in a pool of liquid. And for some reason it just tasted so oily. But the tomyum soup and the mango sticky rice.. Real disasters. The tomyum soup had a real funky taste and aroma as soon as we put it in our mouths. It felt so weird. It felt like something was either really old, or rotten. We couldn't finish it coz it was just really weird and bad. Now the mango sticky rice, the mango sticky rice itself was delicious, but the coconut cream that they provided was.. Well definitely not fresh. It was definitely either spoilt or spoiling. We could all taste it. Michelin star guys, and this kinda food.. Anyways u may be wondering about the chicken wings. Well they forgot about it.
Now the service was absolutely terrible. The waiters WILL IGNORE YOU, and everytime we'd try to tell them about something they'd try to argue a bit. They were also a little rude. It really felt like they didn't know what they were doing.
This was just a pure disaster. Definitely not going back. Michelin star everyone... I don't even know how. For the price they charge, this place is NOT WORTH IT. Their food is really not good. I hope the services and the food quality improves. Because this was not a pleasant experience. If you want a good restaurant closeby to this place, with similar pricing, go to Sompong. The atmosphere there is a million times...
Read moreThe restaurant is big. It serves many choices of seafood and southern style food. Seafood is fresh. We tried fresh oysters, one piece (80 baht) was too big to fit in to one bite. Giant mud crab (2,000 baht/kg) was fresh although the size seemed to be a bit smaller than we expected from a 800g crab. We liked a yellow soup with fish and pla hed khon tod khamin (deep fried sillago with turmeric and garlic) the most. The dishes were testy and the fish were really fresh. I also tried mamuang bao song khrueang (sliced small green mango with spicy sweet dip- 100 baht). Surprisingly, the mangoes were not that sour. I can even eat seed although the young seeds had little bitter taste. When dipped in the sweet and spicy sauce, the taste was perfect. The staff was attentive and food was quick.
