Grandma Homemade Thai food — Restaurant in Karon

This was hands-down the best restaurant I've dined at across multiple countries. Portions are large but not overwhelming, delicious & fresh. Don't pass up the Thai Iced Tea! I wanted to try everything, but ended up settling on the the Pad Thai Seafood Curry (medium spicy was "tourist spicy - aka not much heat, but it was so delicious & flavorful I didn't complain!), a salad (really awesome dressing that they serve with this!), Thai Iced Tea & a Banana Smoothie for desert... more food than I could eat, but I wouldn't necessarily say it would serve 2... it definitely could if you added an appetizer, which would make the average per person/pax about 200THB. My total was 330THB + 20THB tip = $9.57USD.

It's definitely a hidden gem/entrance!! Grab may try to drop you off far too early - make sure they keep going at least to the main road/entrance & unless you want to walk, have them take you downhill to the parking area.

You won't want to leave after you see the view. It alone is worth more than the price you'll pay for the meal!

We visited Grandma's kitchen with my family, soon after our arrival to Thailand last night and it was an amazing experience. The food was so delicious that we went for more dishes, just to try everything out. I can't single out any dish as everything was super fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was great too, with amazing views as you are on top of the world. It was literally as you went to visit an old friend's family for dinner. Ladies that work there were so kind and positive, you can't stop laughing with them. We felt so welcome. The mix fruit smoothie was also amazing,kids were loving it.
