SCAM! AVOID!!

The staff here were absolutely disgraceful. My husband and I were stranded in the pouring rain after unknowingly taking the wrong path from Freedom Beach. With the ground too slippery to return, I asked the staff—sitting under an umbrella—for a ride up, assuring them I’d pay at our car. The woman instantly refused upon hearing the money wasn’t on me.

I then asked if I could follow the cars’ path, but she dismissively said, “No, it different. You need to go up.” When I asked, “Up where?” she just repeated, “Up,” then turned her back on me.

My husband later offered to pay double, and they agreed—until they realised he also didn’t have cash on him. They then refused again, leaving us stranded in a storm with no signal, no internet, and no safe way out.

Thankfully, other tourists paid for us and two others in the same situation. As soon as we arrived we paid them back and even offered them a lift. This kindness something the staff here clearly lack the decency to understand. Leaving stranded tourists with wrong directions instead of basic help is beyond disgusting. Avoid this place at all costs.

The beach itself is beautiful, with clear water and clean sand, making it a nice spot to relax. However, the 100 baht ($3 USD) entrance fee feels a bit steep for what's offered.
