We ate here every single day because the food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious for me, it was the best food I’ve been served in all of Thailand.
The ingredients come from local suppliers, how do we know? Because we saw the deliveries during our daily visits. For the Mojito, they even picked up fresh mint from a nearby local shop – and you can really taste the difference!
The chefs do a fantastic job, truly first-class!
The people here are friendly and helpful. We even noticed other tourists from nearby areas coming to eat here, as we recognized some familiar faces from other hotels and we get around a lot!
The restaurant is made up of around 6+ food stands under one shared roof. One evening, when the heavy rain started, we felt a few drops as the wind blew the rain inside, but it really wasn’t a problem for us. We actually loved it, it just added to the charm.
The cocktails are also highly recommended!
The Great Escape accommodation is just a 3-minute walk away and also a great place to stay. Plus, there’s a 7-Eleven right across the street, so it’s really...
Read moreExcellent! We’ve tried food at many restaurants, but this one is our absolute favorite. If you’re here, please don’t be lazy and make sure to walk to the last restaurant—it’s a pity we discovered it only in the last days of our stay on the island :(
Please try all the places, but I highly recommend Jennifer’s - it’s the very last one. She doesn’t use a lot of oil there, so the food isn’t unhealthy.
The food is amazing! Everything is very delicious, and the owner is very modest and polite. She asked if we liked everything—of course, we did! She makes the tastiest shakes, doesn’t add too much ice, and uses ripe fruits. The next day, she even told us in advance that the mango wasn’t as ripe as the day before, but even so, it was still one of the best mango shakes I’ve ever tried.
Compared to many other places, the kitchen here is very, very clean. You can see that she is responsible and cares...
Read moreThis place is a fake food court for hotel tourists. It is nicely setup like a real streetfood place, the food is not disgusting but definitely not genuine thai. We have been travelling for month and these dishes were far away from authentic thai food. We had tom yum and a green curry. The tom yum was more like an instant stock soup with some lemon juice (we actually saw her using instant stock for this) and the curry was mostly coconut milk with only a hint of flavour. It is sad to see that even the local kitchen here has adjusted to western taste. I guess people complained too much because it is not like the thai taste they know from home.
No local people at all here, only tourists and those are mostly families with kids.
Long story short: Don't come here if you know how thai food is supposed to taste and you want to eat...
