The one and only Mexican staple cuisine in Koh Lanta, and our second visit to this cozy, family-run restaurant located right next to the coast of Koh Lanta East, about 4 km south of Lanta Old Town. The lovely lady who owns the place used to live in the U.S., and her authentic dishes truly reflect her passion for great Mexican food. My two sons absolutely adore burritos and tacos – they can never get enough!
This time, my boys ordered the chicken burritos, wrapped in soft, warm flour tortillas. These were generously stuffed with tender, flavorful chicken, fresh salsa, and a variety of tasty accompaniments, creating a satisfying and delicious bite.
We also tried the shrimp tacos, which featured plump, fresh shrimp, perfectly seasoned and grilled. These tacos were served with a selection of vibrant sauces: Salsa Roja, Salsa Verde, and another zesty one whose name escapes me. Each sauce added a unique layer of flavor, balancing the rich shrimp beautifully.
If you’re craving authentic tacos and burritos while in Koh Lanta, this is definitely the place to visit.
Overall, in terms of food authenticity, freshness, cleanliness, and the warmth of the service, I have no hesitation in giving them a perfect 5 out of 5.

Read moreThe food was good but we waited 1 hour and twenty minutes. After one hour we asked if the food was on the way. And the chef just got angry and told if we wanted the food or not.
Baja's Answer Hi Lasse, Thank you for your review. I’m apologize if that make you feel really up set, I think I’m pretty sure that you were angry with me first and I felt very rude that you were yelling at me. You came back after you went away from the restaurant because our place was packed with at least 30 people. Just to remind you that it’s homemade and if you were leaving your order with us we won’t missed your order when you came back. I told you I could make your food now because you came back. But you got angry and said no. If this making you felt like that I’m apologize. Have a good day. Thank you.
My updated answer: I think you mix me up with another angry customer. It was my wife which asked you really calmy after one hour, if our food was on its way. And then you got angry and said if we wanted the food or not. When you get an constructive feedback try to take it in, instead of attacking a customer once more. The food is great, but the way you are treating customers can...
Read moreThe view is amazing. The place is wonderful. You can have a swim and relax for a full day away from the busy beaches of the west side of the island.
The food is delicious and they did a good job Getting the true Mexican flavor. However the food is over priced compared to size of the portions. We had two tacos and a plate of nachos, the tacos were absolutely delicious with fresh ingredients and nice seasoning, but the portion was really tiny. The nachos was the most ridiculous thing ever. A small bowl with no more then 15 crisps, for 200 baht. They cam first and by the time the food came 3 minutes later, me and my partner we had finished them. I would like to say that they were really amazing, but they were just regular nachos. Despite that we order ours without cheese cause we're vegan, in the end there was no compensation on the price or drinks offer (we had a big bottle of water.) So overall even that ingredients were fresh, well seasoned, with an an amazing view (but you are in island you get a wonderful basically everywhere) I would not repeat the experience do the fact the portions are...
