If you're looking for high excitement then look elsewhere. However, the motto of this hotel is; "Back to Nature", so just lay back and enjoy.
Rooms are actually individual lodges set on a hillside overlooking Tha Lane Bay complete with the iconic limestone islands and pinnacles. There are only 5 cabins on site although the hotel does have future plans for more. Our lodge's main room containing the bed, sofa and large dressing table was approximately 25 square metres. The dressing room and shower/toilet area was also generously proportioned. A large balcony with table and chairs completed the ensemble.
As with may hotels, day-to-day maintenance was a problem, the shower assembly was in need of attention. The shower leaked and the shower head was caked in calcium deposits making the water stream fire at odd angles. However, since we where in the heart of Limestone pinnacle country hard water is just part of the territory.
The restaurant which overlooks the bay was a treat, serving good variety of Thai and some European dishes. Never busy, so the atmosphere was always lovely.
Staff including Noom, who looked after us very well were all charming and attentive.
Water sports are available just a few minutes drive along the coast.
Well worth a visit if even for a...

Read moreHere is a restaurant on Khaothong Hill that you don't have to take a shuttle bus to go up the hill like others. The food and service are quite good. Stir-fried squid with black ink was the best on this trip; we ordered this item repeatedly. It was so crunchy! Soft-shell crab fried with tamarind sauce is recommended. Rice vermicelli with curry crab was out of this world. The gravy was very thick with coconut milk and lots of crab meat. Introverted people must love this. It's not too crowded. Good value, though not the best view...
