We went to Koh Klang after reading the many rave reviews by actual customers and wanted to taste it and experience it ourselves. We took the boat to the restaurant for a late lunch and it was nice having the whole place to ourselves. The host was friendly and helpful, recommending a few things but never pushy. He showed us around his restaurant while waiting for lunch. We ate steamed crabs, tomyum snapper soup, leang leaves stirfried with eggs, wing shells and rice. The rave reviews are no exaggeration of how wonderful the food is here. We picked out our own crab and fish. The flavours were balanced, measured and accentuated the freshness and taste of the main ingredient. The fish tomyum soup was exceptional - the fish being done to the right doneness to be soft and flaky while absorbing the sharp notes of the soup. The crabs were small, and so had more taste per bite and natural flavour that was delicate yet full bodied. Again, the crabs were cooked to perfection, just the right level that made the flesh fall off easily. The atmosphere by the riverside was amazing. It was a great setting for such a wonderful meal. Yes, the ratings for this place reflect the food and service for me. This is definitely a great place to go for great seafood at reasonable prices, a great host and amazing...

Fantastic service! Fantastic food! A very different experience.
MUST TRY
How to reach there: The restaurant is a floating restaurant located amidst a few mangroves. So we took a long tail boat from Chao Fah pier which was arranged by the host only- Natt. The boat captain charges 200 baht for to and fro travel.
The ambience: Surrounded by water, the restaurant moves a bit if any other boat passes by, which was really cool. It’s a pretty good restaurant with lots of live fishes, crabs. Also, very clean. The toilets were super clean.
Service: A personalised service and a 5 star at that, Natt knows what you will like once you tell him what kind of food you want to have.
Food: ALL MUST TRY! The best food in Thailand so far, we ordered: Prawns with salt and chillies 5/5 (Natt kept insisting on this one because we wanted to eat spicy) I thought it will be very basic but Omg, it was soo delicious!
-Crab fried rice 5/5
-Crab in yellow thai sauce 5/5 Fantastic prep. Words fall short.
We also ordered pineapple juice and coconut water.
Overall: Highly recommended if you want to try local thai cuisine with a surreal...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this truly amazing seafood restaurant, and I can't praise it enough! This hidden gem can only be accessed by boat, which adds to its charm and authenticity. From the moment we reached out, the owner went above and beyond to assist us, sending text messages with detailed directions on how to get to the boat.
When we arrived, we were greeted by a gorgeous floating restaurant that offered stunning views all around. The ambiance was delightful and made the experience even more special. And let me tell you, the food was nothing short of extraordinary! We watched the owner catch the very fish we enjoyed for dinner, which made the meal all the more memorable.
I can't thank the owners enough for their hospitality and dedication to providing such a lovely dining experience. If you're looking for authentic seafood, a breathtaking setting and value for money, then this place is an...
