I was looking for a place to celebrate my friend’s birthday in Bangkok and chance upon Sathaneemeehoi in TikTok and knew I had to bring her here. I have watched countless of videos of this place and thought it’d be a fun experience and let me tell you, it was more than just fun.
Upon arriving, we were immediately welcomed warmly by the staff there who assigned us a table. I specifically wanted to point out this little gesture that warmed my heart. As my friend and I were big size, the staff changed our seats from a plastic stool to a more sturdy wooden stool, which for me showed that they paid attention to detail and most likely wanted us to be comfortable and to avoid any unwanted accidents. 😂
The food? 110% amazing. Their creamy tomyum soup was the best we have ever tasted and even now when we’re back in Singapore, we’re still raving and craving about it. Let me just say, their seafood was fresh, flavours were on point and most importantly, affordable.
The entertainment? Also tasty! 🤣 I loved how even though the entertainers were cheeky, they respected boundaries and the only physical touch was their hands on our shoulders and only took our hand to touch their chest. Other than that, none of their other body parts were touching us or as we observed with others too. I truly love how they maintained their respect with the patrons and did what they had to do professionally.
We had a ball of time, we laughed till our cheeks, heads and bellies hurt but this was an experience we’ll never forget and will definitely come back because not only was the entertainment great, the food itself was even better.
If you’re in Bangkok, I really recommend Sathaneemeehoi. Definitely a place you want to be at to enjoy with friends and to let loose and laugh your woes and worries away.
Thank you everyone at Sathaneemeehoi for the great night. We will definitely be back again when we...
Read moreA Quirky Experience with Mixed Results If you’re heading to Staneemeehoi expecting a mind-blowing dinner-and-show based on TikTok clips, temper your expectations. The concept is definitely unique: all the male staff wear women’s clothing and put on humorous dance performances. It’s quirky and fun in theory, but in practice, the show feels a bit forced and not as entertaining as what you see online.
As for the food, it’s just okay. The menu is quite limited, and while nothing tasted terrible, it’s not the place you’d come to for a culinary experience. Think of it more as a novelty spot with decent bites rather than a proper dining destination.
Pricing leans on the higher side, which feels a bit mismatched considering the quality and limited choices. Plus, it’s quite a trek from the city center — not the most convenient place to reach unless you’re really curious.
Overall, Staneemeehoi is more about the vibe and Instagram potential than the food or value. If you’re going with friends for laughs and don’t mind the travel or paying for the experience, it might be worth it once. Just don’t expect the viral...
Read moreIt is worth the 40min Grab to this place, we went on a weekday at 7.30, waited about 5-10 minutes and got a table. I think you can only get this kind of experience in Bangkok. Tips prepare toilet pretty cash 3x 1thb to use the toilet.
What to expect: Pretty good seafood at reasonable price. Crab Meat Omelette, River prawn, Papaya salad and other salty egg is recommended. Muscle and Thin men with Tattoos will dance near you and serve your food. They may touch your shoulder and some allow you to touch their muscle (you decided to go might as well enjoy dancing). Great for IG story but beware contents are not suitable for kids. (Ps pls tell me if there is a nice ladies version of this restaurant)
After dinner you can have a walk at the market for a little shopping, drinks, deserts and if you didn’t drink have some durian. The nearby Durian boss asked and kindly recommend we don’t eat durian since we had drank a large bottle of beer each. Yep Durian and alcohol together in short space of time is really bad to our body.
Hope this helps, more contents will be on instagram. IG:...
