น้ำราดของตั้งฮะเส็งมีความเป็นเอกลักษณ์สูง ข้นแต่ไม่เหนียว กลิ่นซอสหวานเค็มลงตัว กลมกล่อมแบบที่ทำให้ข้าวสวยธรรมดากลายเป็นมื้อที่ควรค่าแก่การจดจำ เมนูที่ควรลองคือ “รวมมิตรพิเศษไข่เยิ้ม” ที่รวมหมูแดง หมูกรอบ และกุนเชียงไว้ในจานเดียว เสริมด้วยไข่ต้มยางมะตูมที่เหมือนจงใจปรุงมาให้แตกเมื่อโดนน้ำราดอุ่น ๆ

บรรยากาศร้านอาจไม่ได้หรูหรา แต่มีเสน่ห์ของความบ้าน ๆ ที่จริงใจ มีที่นั่งพอสมควร รองรับลูกค้าหลากหลายวัย ทั้งวัยทำงานและนักท่องเที่ยว จุดเด่นอีกข้อคือการบริการที่คล่องตัว สั่งเร็ว ได้เร็ว และรอยยิ้มจากพนักงานที่ไม่แห้งแล้งเลย
