I’m not one for writing bad reviews but this tourist trap deserves one…
So here The Good: The place is absolutely beautiful. It’s a man made paradise oasis complete with a lagoon that wraps around the roughly 4 acre complex. There’s also a restaurant attached that serves food and beverages. It’s a really nice setup!
The Not So Good: Understandably, Due to its popularity with tourist you need a reservation to be seated at one of the pavilions on the water. (Land)
The Service COMPLETELY Sucked.
We sat for nearly 45 minutes waiting on two shakes and two pieces of pie before I got up and asked the waitress about the order… she had no clue on what I ordered or if the order was turned in or not.
I reordered…, and 15 minutes later I had to find my waitress again to track down my order. It arrive as we were planning to walk out the door 10 minutes later. The shake was pretty good but the pie looked and taste to be store bought. There was nothing about the food that was worth the hour long wait and the utter disappointment.
The Thick of it All: The food here is Grossly overpriced. As an example, Two days ago, we purchased pineapple rice out in town for 145bht. Here it’s nearly 250 bht .That’s not including the 7% VAT and the 10% gratuity that’s added onto your bill.
(this is no reflection wait staff)
There seems to be a lack of direction and communication. The Waitress and waiters were running everywhere, and not being assigned to a particular area.
There were tour buses of people coming and going. Between taking care of the regular customers and being bossed around by the tour guides, the staff looked as if they were completely overwhelmed and lost. Again, this is a management issue.
As far as the atmosphere is concerned, it’s nearly impossible to take a picture without someone being in it… that’s taking a picture of something else. This took away from the peace and serenity that I had expected to find.
And since I’m venting, let me finish with this: I was completely disappointed, It cost us 900bht round trip via tuk tuk, (45 minutes each way) another 750bht to eat for a total of 1650bht (or $46.23)
The good news is that most of these issues can be fixed for better customer satisfaction outcome.
(Most of these issues are...
Read moreNOT WORTH THE TRIP! 2 stars may be too much! Chaos & Disorganized is the best way to describe this place. Beautiful but no organization. Over priced for what you can get anywhere else. The staff was nice but disconnected. Groups of busses and vans arrived w/out reservations where their guide demanded service and that deterred from the service to everyone else. Other guests were loud. Mostly Chinese’s guests, unfortunately. There were completely oblivious to others. Who and what are to blame are MANAGEMENT. Upon arrival, we were given a piece of paper and no direction. We walked around the cafe area not knowing where to go or sit, I had to ask a wait staff. They walked me twice the length of the cafe then wanted to sit us close to the bathroom where there were other tables empty, and not reserved. I asked to sit closer to the door. We ordered twice and still had to go to the counter to order a 3rd time. In addition they charged 2 additional tax that are not mentioned before ordering. 7% for service charge and an automatic 10% gratuity charge. What they should be doing is assessing the group tours and working on a management of these groups. We were not there during a busy time and on a Thursday afternoon. 600/700 Baht for 2 smoothies & 2 slices of frozen pie. We were extremely disappointed, especially after all the hype. This food really be a great place, if management was organized and placed their staff at a priority, instead of bending to appease busses & vans of unscheduled groups. And having to travel over an hour and a half to get here. Absolutely not worth it. Too many other beautiful places in Bangkok to visit and see. Too many people there with cameras and videos everywhere. It was not peaceful. Don’t waste your...
Read moreBubble in the Forest is a café that lives up to its name when it comes to its ambiance and aesthetics. As depicted in the photos, the café is nestled amidst a picturesque forest setting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. However, it's worth noting that the temperature inside can get quite hot, although they do provide fans in the huts to mitigate the discomfort.
When it comes to the food, Bubble in the Forest offers an average dining experience. The prices are slightly on the higher side, but it's evident that you're paying for the beauty and uniqueness of the location. The café's allure lies in the enchanting surroundings, which make for perfect Instagram-worthy pictures. What you see in the photos is precisely what you can expect to find there.
One area where Bubble in the Forest falls short is in its service. The staff's responsiveness needs improvement, as they often fail to promptly address customer queries or concerns. This slow reaction time can be frustrating for customers looking for attentive service. Additionally, there seems to be a notable presence of flies in the café, which can be a bit bothersome and detract from the overall dining experience.
Despite these shortcomings, if you're primarily seeking a café with stunning views and a place that's perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy photos, Bubble in the Forest delivers on that front. Keep in mind that the café is located outside the center of Bangkok, so factor in travel time to reach the destination.
Ultimately, if you're willing to overlook the service and occasional annoyance of flies, you'll find the café's aesthetic appeal and picturesque environment to be...
