Lacol Dome Khaoyai — Restaurant in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Very good photo spot for those who love fancy resto! The dome is very pretty and instagramable. Staff are friendly with service mind. The grass area below the main resto is very cozy and cute, camping vibe.

For food, the food look good and look delish! With the first bite of every dishes, yes they all taste very well done. But...once you finish half, it's too much and the taste become so greasy. Sad but true.

We order Chicken Pate, Ikura Salmon Pasta, Lamb Rack, Pork Chop, Salmon Panipuri. 1) Chicken pate, I really love the first 3 bites but the portion for this plate is too big for just being an appetizer dish none the less with 3 grilled butter sourdough bread. 2) Ikura Salmon pasta, creamy with something missing, again first bite good. 3) Lamb Rack, look very pretty promising but again half a chop down it's very greasy. Could be much better, but the red wine sauce is good tho. 4) Pork chop, again first 3 bites very good! After that thing turn greasy. 5) Salmon Panipuri, I didnt eat it but my bro said it's the best out of every dish we order.

Oh, we also order creme brulee, too big for a portion again. Really wish it's 1/4 or 1/3 of the current portion to make it a very good dessert plate. We couldn't finish it with 5 of us as a family. But it taste really good with young coconut to eat with.

For price, the place is pricey. So bare with it and beware if you wanna come for a meal with...

Atmosphere: Its beautiful esp when the sun started to set. And it really look great when taking photos. The restaurant have a Dome purposely for ppl wan to take picture.

Food: The foods i ordered tasted normal. Dont expect a WOW or expecting the foods be really taste like fine dinning. But the food price is really abit high. I order a baby chicken, a heineken, a dinner set pastry consisting of 5 small pastries and a mushroom soup. The bill is 3360 baht. During the reservation for the dome, u need to paid 3000 baht upfront and this 3000 baht can be use to offset ur food bill. I not sure is there a minimum spending and will they return the balance for the 3000baht if u spend lesser. U have to explore that yourself. So in short, they charge fine dinning price for a normal food price. But the place is really beautiful esp evening time.

Overall is my first fine dinning in thailand and i think is still okay to try it as if i were to have this kind place to dine in my country it will be hell expensive.

The food was spectacular, incredibly fresh with an amazing taste. They even provided extra salt and pepper for additional seasoning if needed.

The view was breathtaking. Despite being inside a dome, which I usually find confining, I didn’t feel claustrophobic at all. We had a beautiful view of the mountains and an elephant statue.

The dome was well-decorated, equipped with air conditioning, and had speakers so we could play our romantic songs.

If you have to choose between this restaurant and La Maya, don’t even consider La Maya.

If you’re staying at the hotel, I highly recommend dining here.

They also gave us a complimentary cake for my boyfriend’s birthday.

The staff was very calm and took many pictures of us as we requested.
