Lookkai Cafe Restaurant Khao Yai — Restaurant in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

We drove by this place many times in the previous trips and saw the general review here. So, we decided to give it a try. I called several times to make a reservation for lunch. And when the phone was finally answered, the person in the call told me to add their LINE account and made a reservation there. I made a reservation on LINE and was told to pay a deposit of THB400 right away to reserve a table. They also sent me all the conditions such as will allow us in only when we have everyone there. I never had to pay a deposit just to make a reservation even at a 6-star hotel, and especially for lunch. When we arrived, it was not even half full (kinda get the idea why they want a deposit then). Every dish was on the sweet side even a Thai spicy salad. The serving size was small for an average THB300/dish for just simple dishes without complex ingredients. Some of the worst food we’ve ever had. The calamari and fish were chewy. My chicken red Thai curry had something horrible and chewy in it that I found out was chicken internal organs!!! The staff were rude and unhelpful. I don’t know how this restaurant has such high ratings. Even the watermelon frappe was gross.
