Papillon Restaurant at U Khao Yai — Restaurant in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Despite being a french bistro, the Thai food was much more appetising.

Ordered the Thai green curry with soft shell crab, Pad Thai and Soft Shell Crab Fried rice.

The green curry was excellent, rich and smooth with a crispy succulent soft shell crab.

Pad Thai had great balance of flavours.

However the French onion soup was a 1/10. Onions not cooked through, soup too diluted, felt like I was drinking soap water with someone’s leftover onions.

Braised Beef short rib was another disappointing dish. Beef was not tender, served with a pasta that had no sauce, felt like I was eating a 10 minute meal cooked by a college student.

While the Thai food was amazing, for a french bistro, the french food...

I see some guests drove out during dinner time; reckon they went out to look for dinner options.

I stayed 4 nights at U Khao Yai (honestly a fantastic experience, but I feel this review should be posted here for the restaurant instead of the hotel). out of the 4 nights, I had dinner for 3 nights here (the other one at midwinter)

Papillon's menu offers a great variety, and I had different types of food all my 3 nights (French, Modern Thai and Moo Kar Ta)

This place is amazing no cap, it was the best option yet: staff are friendly, good food and amazing drinks highly recommended 👌 🥰.

It would be nice if the soft cushion be well maintained a little bit because it was kinda dirty anyhow its just a minor thing.

Just a headsup they allow motorcycle entry doesn't have to be a car. I am driving a sportbike if ya'll are wondering. Perfect substitution to Toscana Valley no motorcycle are allowed...
