For my birthday I wanted to spoil my wife with a lunch at Day&Night in Nakhon si Thammarat. We wanted the Fresh Salmon Sashimi as a starter, but it was out of stock. Then for me the Australian Grass-fed Tenderloin 200 gr. for 680 bth, but it was out of stock, before that I had the choice of a Ribeye or The Premium Australian Grain Fed Tenderloin for 920bth. After a waiting time of 55 minutes we got our dishes. The waiter not only put a silver platter of cutlery in reverse on the other side of the table, but also our dishes, so that we had to slide it across the table to ourselves. The taste was excellent but the spaghetti of my wife was cold. I ordered a dessert a warm chocolate lava with strawberries, but then the lady came to tell me that there were no more strawberries, whether they could also be blueberries. In short. It doesn't shall happen in a high class restaurant like this I can understand if something is out of stock, but please tell me in advance. This is clearly a mistake between the Chef in the kitchen and the restaurant manager. In short, I met the owner once in his shop in Surathani, I had a better experience there. I won't be going back there anytime soon and I don't even want to talk about the total price.
2 oct. 2024 it was even worse than our first visit. How is it possible that they got a mention in the Michelin guide. I ordered an Anges steak 1350 bath. Not to get through, was full of muscle tissue, really scandalous that something like that comes out of the kitchen. My wife had a porkshop, that was also rock hard. It spoiled the mood and I decided never to eat...

First impression was, what a place! It must be some fancy restaurant with european cuisine, to my surprise, this place has it all. Thai food, great coffee, pizza, spaghetti and bunch of eye catching drinks. The place was fabulous and worthy of photo enthusiasts.
The place was crowned of Michelin Star of 2025 for it's Thai dishes. And I have ordered some of the signature dish.
Braised pork in brown&spicy soup: A piece of thick and fatty part of the pork, braised to tender and fat melting crave. Comes with brown spicy and sour soup that has chillies spread all over it. Surely, the soup was outstandingly great, the meat was melting and so tender. The only dowside was the flavor didn't go through all the way to the center and was a little bland. Overall, great with a plate of rice and you should splatter the pork with its soup onevery bite.
Fried dried fish with watermelon: A strong flavor dish with crispy texture of fried dried fish. Combines with freshness and sweetness of watermelon, balancing the salty and sour sauce underneath. The dish undoubtedly a hit among peers. It was wonderful with first few bites, but it felt too powerfual and overwhelming after the early fun was gone. It was supposed to be an appetizer that doesn't need any support, but it turns out to be too powerful to my liking.
The place was iconic and a must-visit place. After service charge and vat, definitely felt overpriced. But it's an experience...
Read moreCulinary disappointment in a nice location. The location is truly well-kept and pleasant, and the staff was kind and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown. I ordered pasta with clams which, as an Italian, I can confidently say was far from authentic. It came out watery, overwhelmed with garlic, and extremely spicy due to an unexpected amount of chilli—not mentioned anywhere on the menu. For the record: real pasta alle vongole does not include chilli. At this point, I’d strongly suggest the chef take a proper Italian cooking course.
Considering the poor quality of the dish, the prices are far too high.
Also, a word of caution: I read several reviews mentioning that there’s a waitress that stole credit card information. Thankfully, I paid with Apple Pay, but be careful.
It’s a shame, because the place has potential. but overall, my experience was...
