Wow! Daeng Definitely lives up to its name “best Nam Nuang in Thailand!” Their Nam Nuang, of course, is a must try item. The pork is extremely aromatic combined with crunchy vegetables and herbs topped off perfectly with crushed peanut dipping sauce. Their ingredients are very traditional, maintained from when Nam Nuang first arrived in Thailand in Udon with Vietnamese immigrants. Their other dishes like their pork sausage and their sugar cane shrimp are also one of the best I’ve tasted. The views are also spectacular: the restaurant is open-air and right next to the Mekong river. My only comment is that though they pay attention to fine detail to make each dish extra delicious, their menu doesn’t contain a great variety of items. Overall, however, It is no question the deserve their title and I definitely recommend this for everyone who gets a chance to visit Udon.
