This is a hidden treasure, off the normal tourist track. (See UPDATE below: I’m a huge live music fan, but for musicians that are passionate about music, that play with heart, not Bangala Road “show bands”. Wednesday night an amazing musician plays named Moody on electric guitar with the drummer named Mud (mood), and on Thursdays Ali plays, also an incredible musician playing great acoustic guitar and he has a wonderful voice. Places like this are the real heart of Thailand!)

UPDATE: Covid has been cruel to small clubs like this. The off again on again effects have hurt trying to keep live music going in small venues so live bands are currently not always on the menu. But Roots has a great playlist constantly going on the sound system. And as a classic Thai reggae bar, ganja is available and their selection is quite good and extensive.
