After seeing frequent advertisements on our Facebook feed, we thought to give Le Bordeaux a try. At first, we were quite impressed with the service, which was friendly and attentive.
When we ordered the Fondue Bourguignon, we were told that we had to sit outside on the terrace due to the smell from the fondue oil… ok, fair enough. Although it was quite hot, as there are no ceiling fans outside. Later, we noticed two other customers sitting inside while eating Cheese and Bourguignon Fondue - what about that smell, especially from the cheese?!? When we requested the bill, we noticed a small mistake how the bill was split across our two parties. We suggested that one party would simply pay more, and the other party less to make up for the difference. At this point the friendly service turned into a quite bad attitude. The staff started to talk in Thai to one of our party members repeatably saying "Farang, Farang, Farang…" I didn't need any translation to understand that it wasn't a friendly comment. Furthermore, the looks that we got as we settled our bill spoke volumes.
The food was quite ok, and we probably would have returned in the future. But there are so many other restaurants in Pattaya that have good food that isn't served with...
Read moreExcellent service, very reasonably priced dishes. Two of us had Beef Carpaccio, Foie Gra, Seafood Bisque, Truffle Mushroom soup with real black truffle and not just drizzles of truffle oil, 6 very fresh French Oysters, Salmon Caviar with pate toasts, a whole Lobster Thermador, Australian Ribeye, 2 glasses of house white wine and the bill came to only 3300 Baht. The food reminded me that I was in fine dining in Paris, of course minus the Parsian atmosphere. The chef stayed true to the French food and not adjusting the flavor to locals! Very commendable for staying true to the authentic French cuisine. Definitely will be there again and again for dinner. In the 6 months of moving to Pattaya, this is so far the best value authentic French dinner we had. A similar dinner in USA or Paris would have cost me my kidney. Went there again yesterday, the food and service was...

We had a great experience last night eating dinner here. Ray and the team were great hosts and took excellent care of us. I saw their specials on their Facebook page and we decided to give it a try. My girlfriend had the Lobster Thermidor and she absolutely loved it! Two very large lobsters with a salad for 799 baht. I had a charcuterie plate that included a very nice glass of Cote du Rhône wine for 299 baht. We were the only customers for the first hour and then a party of 4 came in. The service was very professional. You can sit either outside or in the air conditioning room. The lighting in the restaurant was quite romantic and really set the tone for the evening. We will definitely be coming back soon. Be sure to check their Facebook page for...
