Rain Forest Cafe — Restaurant in Pattaya City

VERY INSTAGRAM’able Restaurant! You can FEED THE FISH for 10$ Baht! It’s such a cute experience for children. The place is magical on its own but when you see how pretty the food is and how lovely the outdoor fish pond is, that alone makes the experience worth it. The MARGHERITA PIZZA, CHICKEN w/BROCCOLI (they substituted from the shrimp), and their cute and tasty MANGO SMOOTHIE, are all worth a repeat visit. I did not love the salmon and pasta… it lacked flavor and sauce.

I’ve visited twice and believe that this place has the potential to become a HOT Spot, but it’s missing a vibe. But maybe that’s just the lunch time scene, so I will try to visit later in the evening to see if it differs.

Gave it 4 stars for a year. Now have to change it to 1 star! Been their customer for at least a year since I lived 5 minutes away. The food used to be good but now absolutely suck! Ordered a ribeye steak, selected RARE and noted in Thai not to overcook the steak. When I got the ribeye, it was completely brown inside and out which is bad enough. Unlike before, it had no beef flavor at all, I didn't know I was eating beef, tasted just like the flavorless chemically treated meat I had in other chain restaurant. The Pad Thai and Chicken Fried Steaks are also very bad. The quality/flavor of their food are gone! The chef must have left them! Everything is now below average quality and flavor suck. Atmosphere was great. AC rooms and outdoor tables were available. Food was just fine (Japanese dishes, rice, yakisoba) but service was slow (20-25 min waiting after ordering and there were only 1-2 groups before us). Price was not include 10% service charge. We arrived on Sunday noon. Owner/manager was quite nice to eagerly find a table for us (2 adults 2 kids). But the waitresses were not quite care to deal with request. Foods served without utensils and we had to get by ourselves. Kid high chair was requested but the waitress in our room said there was no more without checking other areas.
