Sugo Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Pattaya City

We came to this restaurant because the opening hours on Google Maps said it was open until 1 AM. We arrived at 10:30 PM. When we walked in, the staff greeted us, and we were the only guests there. We sat down, received the menus, and spent about 10 minutes choosing what to order. When we called the waiter over to place our order, we were told that only pizza was available because the kitchen was already closed. Why wasn’t this mentioned when we first arrived, or at least when the menus were handed to us? The staff saw us flipping through the menu the entire time, and no one thought to say anything. If the kitchen closes well before the restaurant does, this should be clearly communicated — both online and when guests arrive. What’s the point of listing closing time as 1 AM if guests arriving two and a half hours earlier can’t enjoy...

Sugo Italian Restaurant

Jomtien Beach, Pattaya has a new, authentic Italian Restaurant, Sugo. The food, service and whole dining experience was excellent and a good value. We will return.

My husband and I were warmly greeted outside and invited to review the menu. It has a nice selection of dishes and variety of pizzas. So we decided to give Sugo’s a try and we enjoyed a nice evening.

We ordered the Lasagna Ragu Bolognese and Seared Tuna with Pistachio Crust and shared the two dishes. We were not disappointed. If you are looking for authentic Bolognese sauce, this is THE place. The meal started with a complimentary glass of semi-sweet Italian wine, and the two entries were served with a fresh salad for the table. The restaurant’s waitstaff were friendly and helpful.

Welcome Sugo...

Relatively new to restaurants along Jomtien Beach, this Italian restaurant is a fantastic addition to the area.

As a part Italian I can say the food was incredible.

The Beef lasagna was made the proper Italian and you could easily tell the ingredients were good quality and fresh.

The bolognaise sauce was perfectly made and the spaghetti was the right amount of “al dente” with the sauce sticking to it (as it should).

The real Italian influence is noticeable and the price was very good.

Service was very attentive and friendly.

One thing is the ambience could be more unique with some Italian music - a bit of Pavarotti always goes well with Italian food in my opinion haha.

I will be back to eat again, and to sample their impressive wine collection and...
