Dongtan Beach — Attraction in Pattaya City

Visit the beach every day, when i was in Thailand and like the fact that if you find a vendor that you like you can reserve your chair for the entire stay as long as you come to the beach every day or tell them if you are nor coming so they can rent the chair to another person for that day. The beach offer a wide selection of service where massage and mani-pedicure is the 2 approved by the city. Then you have the fresh fruit vendors and ice cream vendors that are a welcoming treat. In addition to this you have the regular vendors with a wide selection of items. If you are European and enjoy German food they have 2 ladies 5hat walk around in rage afternoon after 1 with a wide selection of cooked meat, sausages etc and if you opting to eat at the beach they have bread rolls. They also have a selection of salads including a delicious potato salad. They carry everything in cooling bags and if you buy to bring home most of the time if you ask your chair vendor if you sit in that section for a while you can keep the items in their cooler until you go home. This year the city have upgraded the toilet facilities so they are very nice and clean, the fee for the service is 5 Baht, make sure you bring exact change since you put the money in a box and there is usually no attendant or change available. Very nice stretch of beach, sea is much cleaner here than Pattaya and easily reachable by Songthaew for just 20 Baht from Pattaya. At the south end you have a car park and the north end beach volley ball areas. Along the length of the beach you have three zones, the open beach itself, then the strip of sun loungers with parasols, then a nice shaded tree lined area where many vendors setup to serve people using the beach. Behind the tree lined area at the back you have a paved promenade. There is a huge boomed protected swimming area and outside of this several watersports. You can hire windsurfing boards and there are quite a few ladies offering beach massages on large mats covering the sand. There are a couple of toilet blocks along the beach with 5 Baht usage fee and several restaurants the other side of road running...

A great place for exercise and leisure. Walking along the beach will grant you access to a lot of different businesses from Convenience stores, local street food, a waterpark and restaurants. Along the beach there is also a volleyball court if you feel like playing.

It's a tourist hotspot so finding a place to park may be difficult. Using the dongtan beach sign as a marker, parking your car on the far right of the beach and walking on foot may save you a lot of hassle but may also increase your time spent walking. You can also park alongside the beach.
