Part of À La Campagne. Looks pleasant and inviting. Menu is western comfort food - brunch fare, burgers, meats etc. Indoor space has 2 areas: conservatory 53 seats, main room 35 seats. Outdoor has 15 seats on the rear terrace, 6 seats in the garden and 15 on the front terrace. 26 guests in the 40 minutes I was here.
Food/Drink: 4/10. Menu is quite long given size of venue. Despite being a tea focused venue, menu focuses on heavy lunch/dinner dishes. No sweets on the menu - you wouldn't know they sell sweets if you don't ask or happen to see the showcase at the bar. Their best seller 'ice earl grey with yuzu' was nice, but much too sweet. I had asked for no sugar, but was told that's impossible because the yuzu flavour is in the sugar syrup. Apple crumble: I appreciate the no-nonsense presentation: just the pie and custard on the side - thank you for not sprinkling icing sugar or the usual spray cream. Unfortunately, it's headache-inducingly sweet and sadly, inedible for me.
Service: 2/10. After I had ordered, waiters brought someone else's order to me - not once, but twice. Wait, make that 3 times. Waiter just brought me someone else's dessert! Staff are pleasant but passive, and there are a lot of them. Bizarrely, my order of iced tea was served in a plastic take away cup even though I ordered from a table and am sitting at said table with my laptop. When I questioned why it's in a take away cup she just took it away and reappeared moments later with a big smile and the same drink in a glass.
Crowd: 50% Thai Instagrammers 25% their families (mums, dads, brothers, boyfriends etc) 10% Korean tourists 10% local expats 5% others
Price: 5/10. Reasonable value for money
Design/ambiance: 7/10. Very inviting and pleasant to be here. The design direction is very much French rustic countryside.
Suggestions: Bring in a floor manager that can train all your staff so they know which tables placed which orders, and create a play book that they should learn - e.g. when someone orders an iced tea have your staff ask if it's for here or to take away. Separate flavouring from syrup. Not everyone likes sugar/sweet drinks and moreover, sugar is incredibly unhealthy which is odd given the conceptual focus on health. More apple in the apple crumble...
Read moreLove this place. It's not to far from the city and on weekends especially it has a nice market outside where you can buy food for the animals out back. If you spend 150THB on animal food then you can go in to the chicken coop and collect 6 free range eggs. The farm has chickens ducks pigs geese a goat 2 large horses. One of the horses has a moustache. Has to be see to be believed. The tea house it's self has lovely food and great atmosphere. This place is great to bring your family have a meal and play with the animals afterwards. There is a little gift shop beside the tea factory which sells beautiful gifts for friends and family. The prices for the food is reasonable. The staff were friendly and prompt with the service. The tea factory sells free range eggs for 130THB in side the cafe in a beautiful little wicker basket. Very cute. They also sell a large selection of different teas to buy...
Read moreTea Factory and More is a cafe/bistro located in La Champagne at Chonburi. La Champagne is a tourist spot that houses many venues such as Tea Factory, Ellie, and Somtumville.
The food served at Tea Factory is mainly western dishes. In addition there is a wide selection of cakes and freshly brewed tea/coffee.
The food at the venue is overall good, but lacks a distinct character if you are a gourmet. The spaghetti bolognese wasn't a proper bolognese and the bbq ribs weren't charred enough(more like pressure cooked and pasted with bbq sauce) and the vegetables were a little blalnd(to cater healthy diners?). With a little more detail, the food could have been slightly better.
The signature lychee tea was good.
The majority of the diners seem to focus more on drinks and cakes.
Place is beautiful and relaxing.
Adequate parking on site. If you don't fancy the place there are other...
