Be Friend Restaurant Bangsak — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

We stayed over a week in Khao Lak and ended up almost every evening in the restaurant "Be Friend" -- and absolutely loved it.

On cozy nights, you can dine right on the beach, enjoy your food and drinks, and watch the crabs run along the shore. On the few rainy evenings that we had, the staff put out large umbrellas on the beach, or we dined under the roof.

All of the staff were really lovely and immediately took care of all our wishes. They truly live up to the name of the location and make you feel like friends and not just customers.

The food was delicious (our recommendation: chicken with cashew nuts), and the drinks spot on (definetly try their Mai Tai). We absolutely loved it and enjoyed all our evenings there! None of the other restaurants in the area (including the more expensive ones in the hotels) could -- in our opinion -- match the quality and atmosphere.

We miss "Be Friend" already! If you are in the area, you should definitely pay a visit and try it...

We arrived in Khao Lak 4 days ago (we’re staying at the Avani +) and we’ve been coming here every day to eat!

Food has been incredible every time. The flavours of the curries & other meals we’ve tried have been amazing.

The staff are so friendly and lovely. They’re always so happy and attentive too. Views here are stunning. We’ve been lucky to see the sun set each night whilst sat here having dinner.

Value for money is also incredible. Big portions and prices are cheap! Lots to choose from on their menu including western meal options. They also always ask about how spicy you’d like your meal which is a bonus!

10/10 would recommend and we’ll be coming here for the rest of...

For anyone curious, this restaurant offers an off menu item. Slipper lobster, cooked to order. Slipper lobster is a crustacean that can be found in most warm climate oceans around the world and flavorwise is very similar to that of lobster meat. Personally, I find it to be more dynamic texturally, but that's up for you to decide. If you notify the staff a day ahead of your visit to Be Friend, they will run to the market and specially prepare this extraordinary meal for you.
