This restaurant is right next door to the Manathai Hotel so decided to try it for lunch today. It's right on the beach with plenty of tables so you can choose sunny or shade and on a warm day you get the breeze. Service is very friendly and extremely welcoming. The staff cannot do enough for you. Extensive choice of food and drinks. So glad I came here as WOW I was blown away by my lunch, I chose the spicy salad with grilled chicken. Grilled chicken on lettuce with sliced carrot, tomato, chopped coriander and cucumber slices on the side with lots of sliced red chillis so you can have it as spicy as you prefer. The dressing I think was a mix of lemon or lime and fish sauce. It was so tasty, light, cool (as well as a bit spicy 🌶), chicken was warm and so tender and it was served so quickly. It was a fabulous lunch, so good that I went back for dinner!! If you happen to be in this part of Khao Lak then it's definitely worth a visit. As an update, during my stay I visited everyday and everything I ordered was served with the same quality, full of flavour and just what you expect. I am adding a picture of today's lunch, Pad Thai with shrimp!! Eat here,...
Read moreThis seafood restaurant is a gem! The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the dishes are delicious and clean. The highlight was the "Goong Sauce Makham" (Shrimp with Tamarind Sauce) - the rich and flavorful sauce is a sure winner with both Thais and foreigners. Another dish I highly recommend is the "Tom Som Pla Kra Bok" (sour fish soup with Mullet Fish). This fish is a local specialty and can be a bit tricky to eat because of the bones, but the flavor is unique and delicious - sour and bit spicy just the way I like it. If you're not a fan of bones, you can always opt for the "Tom Som Pla Kapong" (sour fish soup with sea bass) instead, tangy dish that will leave you wanting more. 👍 The atmosphere is great, and the service is excellent. The restaurant is open until 10 pm, and there's a bar area with good music if you want to stay longer. 🚗 Just a heads up: the road leading to the restaurant is a bit rough, so if you have a low-riding car, you might want to be...
Read moreI had one of the worst dining experiences at this restaurant. The food was EXTREMELY SALTY and complete NOT worth the high prices. When I raised this with the waiter, I expected at least some acknowledgment or service recovery, but instead, I was ignored.
What made the experience worse was the clear inconsistency in service. Foreigners at nearby tables were given noticeably better treatment and attention, while I was left dismissed. This kind of discriminatory and unprofessional service is absolutely unacceptable.
For the price they charge, the food should be of far higher quality and the staff properly trained to handle feedback respectfully. Sadly, they failed —overpriced, poor quality, and disrespectful service. Definitely not recommended.
As Thai , who rarely write a complaint, I Will NEVER GO BACK AND HIGHLY NOT...
