We are here for the majority of our meals for several reasons, firstly and most importantly the food is fantastic; tailored to your tastes the Thai food is up with the best I’ve eaten, secondly the service and presentation, thirdly location and finally the fun and laughter we had there. We only ate the Thai options, but there is a good selection of Western food available as well. Every meal we had was expertly created, inspirational sauces which Joy, the chef kindly showed me how to make. The Tempura shrimp are superb, as is the Massaman gai, papaya salad, Tom yam goong and gai. Fresh seafood is bought in every day, good idea to reserve/order what you’d like. The white snapper with ginger or lime is beautifully cooked, a real treat 450bht. The care they show their customers is lovely, my husband had a bit of a cough and Simith brought him a home made remedy, also gave us a delicious cake on our silver wedding anniversary. We recently enjoyed a stay at the Outrigger Khao Lak Resort and were delighted to discover the nearby Blue Sea Restaurant and Bar, a short walk away. First things first - if you are hungry, don’t come here. It takes ages for your food to be ready. It’s a nice looking bar/ restaurant right at the beach. After ordering our food and drinks, the drinks came within minutes, which was great. However when it comes to the food, it took over an hour until we got it. Other tables, that arrived after we even ordered our stuff, got their food before us. I understand that they had a big party right before us, but it doesn’t make it okay to delay our food even further. Once we got the food it was okay, not more or less.
