Rabiang Lay Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

Very chilled restaurant next to the beach with excellent food. I’ve read some other reviews about the staff and food and I can only share our experience.

I’ve been here 5-6 times over the past 3 years and every time was excellent. This past visit the waitress and especially the young lad bringing the food, were friendly. We do speak Thai though so maybe that is why some people might find the staff unfriendly, just the language barrier.

The food came quite quick (it wasn’t very busy) and the food was excellent as usual. The prawns (shrimp) fried with garlic was so good we ordered a second dish. The som tam was fresh and clean, and the tom yum soup was excellent. There is a deep fried breaded chicken dish on the first page of the menu that was delicious, much more interesting than we were expecting. The soft shell crab in yellow curry was also very tasty.

Windy w flies. Food had 0 flavor. Left some ate some because super hungry from waterfall hike. Ocean view and picnic tables. No one else there. No clue why the great reviews the pepper friend fish was the worst I’ve eaten in Thailand in 14 years. Bland bland bland. No spices or flavor added to the fish. Vegetable rice was bland also. Kick off your high-heels and sit with feet in a white sand. Crazily tasty prawns (shrimps) from the nearest farms. Open air. Paradise on beach with feet in the sand. Got to bring cash, they do not accept credit cards so far. There is a car parking. Food 4 of 5. It is not a gourmet place, but more a home cooking Cleanliness 5 of 5. Just on the beach.
