I dine at your restaurant almost every day of the week! You can check with your nicer and more competent female staff. The restaurant manager is not only incompetent in taking simple food and drinks orders, he made the mistake and refused to change it for me but expected me to just accept it! He is also obnoxiously insolent, unhygienic and downright impertinent! Just tonight he walked up to my table and literally reprimanded me in front of his female staff and my business associate! In his shrill condescending tone, he told me off that I ordered so much yesterday that I, the customer, deprived his staff from her break time and food! He continued to lecture me in front of my business associate and his staff that I must have more consideration and give better tip!?! What Nerves!! Never in my life have I heard such ludicrous talk down to a restaurant guest!?! Have you?? Where did you hire such thugs to be the restaurant manager?!? Perhaps probably that's why there are no patrons left in your restaurant!! The food is well prepared and very palatable by your 2 very competent Chef, your female service staff is cordial and polite but your manager is a menace! Upon leaving the restaurant empty stomach, he even have the nerve to Argue vehemently with me that there's nothing wrong with what he said to me! Refused to apologise and gave me the most contemptuous glare then turn his back on me?!? Also, whilst serving in the restaurant he has been coughing and gackhing his lungs out without even covering his mouth and sometimes he would sneeze so loudly without giving a slightest concern for the guest. I find it very difficult holding my food down! When I asked the female staff why is the manager doing that, she replied that he is sick. Then he should wear a facial mask or stay at home?!? Anyone is educated enough to know that! I'm never going back there. Here you go, your restaurant loses another regular guest. That explains why your restaurant is void of guests! Given the food is well prepared and tasty by 2 competent Chef and the ambiance is great! The problem lies with the obnoxiously insolent, unhygienic and extremely impertinent restaurant manager!! Read moreThis restaurant is located on the site of the Grand Pacific sovereign hotel. I shared an order of lasagna for 200 baht, and ordered Rock lobster with white wine sauce on spaghetti noodles for 300 baht. The person eating with me ordered spinach ravioli that seemed to be cooked in a mild cheese sauce. That was roughly 200 baht. I also had a Long Island iced tea for 180 baht. The drink menu is kind of on the pricey side but when you compare say like a 90 bought Chang to a bottle of water that cost 60 baht, I would say get the Chang. I thought the Rock lobster was a very good deal as there was a nice portion of Rock lobster chunks on top of the spaghetti noodles with white wine sauce. It was delicious and I would go back and get it again. Now, I'm an American, so when I talk about lasagna, what's going through my mind is four different kinds of cheese, such as ricotta, mozzarella and things like that. This lasagna does not have very much cheese it has more of a tomato sauce and beef. It's not bad, it's just not what I think of when I think of lasagna. The other diner did not really think that the ravioli stuffed with spinach was all that good. I did try it and it tasted bland. The Long Island tea was well worth 180 baht, I'd say it had a nice amount of alcohol, and it was mixed well. So, I would say this is a 3.5 place and I'm going to really wind it down instead of up. Just so you know, they do put in a 10% tip and a 7% value-added tax with the meal. You can see that if you are able to...
Read moreWe arrived 10 minutes after they opened, maybe one or more employees showed up late, but it was almost 20 minutes after they opened that someone came to take our order. I had lasagna, which was pretty good -- fresh made, fresh baked by a chef that seemed to understand lasagna. We also had pizza, and while I acknowledge I'm a bit of a pizza snob, I think at least ONE of the main features of a pizza (crust, sauce, cheese and toppings) should stand out as at LEAST good, if not great. In this case the crust was bland, seemed to be stamped out by a machine that was fed flour and water. The sauce was undetectable and the toppings were uninspiring. In all, the pizza would earn no more than three stars in my view.
What saves the place is its ambiance and dining atmosphere, which is simply beautiful. So, kudos to the designers and the crafts people who brought it about. Its stones-throw proximity to the beach is a...
