Good food was never that important for me ... well I was living in this big bubble since ever and it popped two days after I stepped in phitsanulok. (Had indomie instant cup noodles to survive and they played there roll well)
Yeah you read it right, Phitsanulok does exist on the map of Thailand 🇹🇭. It’s not a tourist place though.
Not being a tourist place has its own cons for tourist like us, who are Muslims, Desi, Non-veg, not fond of Sea food and above all FOODIE! So for us the options narrow down at each step I.e. only Halal , full of spices, salad free (meh, like I am not on death bed yet), full of meat esp chicken and good taste food is what satisfies our soul.
And phitsanulok had nothing to satisfy our soul. We found halal but not so tasty food, lived on it for good 8 to 10 days until we discovered Krua nannum Thai & Indian restaurant alongside river Nom, which was not halal but had great taste and great place to sit and eat. Food was so good that being vegan for 3 days didn’t hurt much.
Tried there vegetable pakoras in light shower outside....oh it tasted so good with mint sauce. Tried there other items aswell such as vegetable biryani Daal makhni Daal tarka Chicken karahi (halal, made on order) Rotti, to name a few
Among them all daal tarka and pakoras were what I enjoyed the most.
It’s a must try restaurant!!! You will thank me later ! The food, the presentation, the ambiance, The staff, the indoor and outdoor sitting, the decor everything was perfect !
P.S. they searve both Thai &...

Started with a waitres serving our drinks to having to pour our own drinks in small, tiny little glasses that ran out every 3 minutes. Then we finally got a different waiter because they took ours to wait on a larger group. The restaurant is in an older building with lots of needed repair in areas. The koi pond was filled with dark water where the fish disappeared if more than .5m down, the glass cover that provides protection from falling leaves and tree branches is in dire need of cleaning & repair. No scenery to speak of while dining outside other than the restaurant itself, which was interesting. Sorry, food was not special and both of my deep fried meat orders were cooked very dry, not moist, however, the fish in the tray was delicious. They changed waiters on us & left us alone for about 15 minutes while food was being prepared, had old wood tables, some...
