Crusoe's Bar Bistro — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

We visited three times and found this place to be a real gem. What we really liked was the greeting on our first visit, ably done and engaging. The second visit was slightly less impressive due in part to some language issues (we don't speak Thai!) and the enthusiasm with which some fellow diners smoked throughout our meal. Nevertheless we came back and were rewarded with excellent service and superb food. In particular I would recommend the massaman curry: rarely have I tasted something as rewarding as this, absolutely extraordinary tastes and depth of flavour. The background to all of this was a clean well planned and laid out restaurant which had a peaceful ambience lovely music something we struggled to easily find in the local neighbourhood. It beats me why anyone would settle for a seat by the side of a noisy road rather than here but horses for courses. Finally all of the above provided at a fraction of the cost at home. Highly...

Seems they have no clue how to treat customers.First of all they have special menus of the day.But no price announced like people just pay whatever they want.So I went in saying I want a gin tonic first.They have 3 different brands so isn't it normal to ask which Gin you would like to have...they have Gilbey Gordon's and Bombay Saffire...they just bring the most expensive one....without asking... Than I waited someone finally ask if I want to eat or I want another drink... 30 mins...nobody came...it's not very busy with less than 10 customers and 2 or 3 people serving... Finally I left and went eating elsewhere where they know how to serve the customers.... I gave 2 stars because there was a nice band playing but they finished playing at 7.30 ....it's the time when most people come...

Booked via messenger for 4 of us to have a Sunday dinner, booked for 6.30pm, whoever I spoke to kindly offered to cook a nut roast which I just thought was so so kind of them, but sadly on arrival they had put us down for 2pm and when my dinner was served there was no nut roast! May have just been slight confusion though! The rest of the party found the meat delicious but we all had only one roast potato which let us down massively. The service was also very very slow even though there was 3 staff members working & only 3 other tables taken in the whole restaurant! Sadly I am disappointed at our visit because as I said, I had thought it was so so kind of them to offer to do me a nut roast, but it wasn’t even offered to me or explained why they didn’t...
