Pollitos Restaurant and Pizzeria — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

Pollitos has a strong proof of concept for a European style oven roasted chicken restaurant in the Hin Lek Fai area in Hua Hin. During the Covid lockdown, I tried the half roast chicken with the assorted side dishes for ''take away''.

More recently, after a visit to Hua Hin Immigration, I tried the Chicken Tikka Masala set (quarter chicken) and the Garlic King Shrimp. The flavors were excellent and the chili peppers in the garlic shrimp gave quite a kick.

Although volume is substantial, the prices are definitely ''Farang-oriented''. Still, the quality of the ingredients and the taste of the food is pretty good.

I did find the ''open plan'' layout of the restaurant dining area to be a bit ''buzzing'' with unwelcome flies that can gain easy access to the restaurant dining area in the heat of the afternoon. A strong fan kept the flies mostly at bay but I did feel a bit wind-blown. Maybe when Pollitos will move to a larger venue one day, there can be truly ''in-door'' dining with air conditioning.

Went to Huahin with the family for a few days in April 2021. A little R&R and break from Koh Samui where we live. Here I discovered a restaurant only recently opened Politios. We knew that the owner Graham had spent a number of years on Samui and we had to try it out. Beautifully appointed interior with great bathroom. I'm a bit of a clean fanatic. The restaurant is immaculate. Their food concept is pure chicken prepared on the rotating spit out in front. Yes I enjoy chicken but here it is absolutely delicious. My wife and children each selected different styles from the menu. A variety of sauces accompanied each dish. We didn't expect anything too fancy but the presentations were super. Surprisingly inexpensive and huge portions. I loved everything but the chicken burger is hard to beat. Chicken wraps, Chicken Marsala and more. Very enjoyable. Here I discovered a new ice-cream so many different flavours and glad I have now found it on Samui for the kids. We went back a second time at the request of the kids and I still can't stop talking about the place. Now back on Samui I tell all my friends to visit as it is very conveniently located.
