Was in Sakon and stopped at Ba Fa Prong for a late lunch/early dinner. Comfortable coffee shop/restaurant with very nice garden area and fish ponds, and indoor seating too. While they seemed to be doing steady business, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and my food was served in a reasonable amount of time. I had the Thai French sirloin steak, which was thinner than a steak in the USA, but thicker than many of the steaks I've had in Thailand. The steak was tender and well seasoned, as were the roasted vegetables, which were cooked perfectly. They served my dinner salad and garlic bread first with my steak served shortly after I finished my salad. They don't offer soft drinks or alcoholic beverages, but the have a large coffee and tea menu. I had an iced Americano coffee which was surprisingly smooth, the best Americano I've ever had. I've added Ban Fa Prong to my favorites, as I hope to enjoy more of their food and beverages...

Inside was comfortable and air conditioned, the outside has beautiful gardens with fish ponds and manicured plants. It is family friendly, my 3 year old son enjoyed his food and loved the fish in the pond. The menu was full of options for every taste. I had a western breakfast and my wife had a beautiful Thai soup and fried fish. My son was also happy with fries, fish and fresh squeezed orange juice. Really...
