We ordered two smoothies with NO sugar and no milk, specifically. I repeated it 3 times and said only: Ice and mango fruit. The younger woman that worked there who made the smoothies even wrote it down. Then we got two smoothies clearly with sugar. I went back to get new once and she got really aggressive and said no sugar. Then she shows me a juice she mix in it which was loaded with sugar. A elderly woman that worked there came and calmed here down and said they would make new smoothies. I was already shaken by this aggressive behaviour. But I went back to my table with my girlfriend. Then after 1 min the young girl came to our table and asked us to pay for the smoothies she made wrong or she wouldn't make new ones. She was really offensive again. My girlfriend didn't want to be there anymore, as this woman was yelling at us in front of other guests over here own mistake. So we cancelled the food and left. The mistake in itself is no big deal, if she corrected it. But screaming at us and being aggressive is clearly unacceptable. This girl should never work in the...
Read moreI found the cafe by chance on Google maps. The food is delicious. We ordered fish in sweet and sour sauce, padthai, papaya salad, tom yam, masaman kari. Everything is delicious. I recommend the fish, haven't seen such a serving elsewhere on the island. Masaman kari is great. I used to go to other cafes for it, but now only here. You can eat in a cafe overlooking the sunset, or you can order to go. But we didn't do well with the drinks. Tried coconut shake - didn't like it, they make it from coconut milk but not from fresh coconuts. Thai tea is very sweet, just like condensed milk, you need to ask them to make it not sweet and it turns out great (I had it redone). And the spiciness of the dish can be adjusted simply by warning how much spicy or not spicy dish you want. Cooked not quickly 20-30 minutes you need to wait, but you will get a dish with heat and heat cooked for you. The atmosphere in the cafe is pleasant. Here you can come for a day, swim, chill and eat...
Read moreWe were staying next door at Paradise Beach Resort. Great portion sizes and nice cocktails, great value for money. We went on Monday night off season Sept, so bit quiet but it is right on beach. We walked along path in dark to get there as tide was in, in the evening, What was the real gem for us was the Jamaica Massage, next to the restaurant (same owner I believe). Three wonderful ladies gave us some lovely typical Thai massage, facial, deep Thai and aromatherapy massage (wife and 2 adult boys) on separate days. Much cheaper than Paradise Beach hotel. Please spend your money at these places, not only you are keeping them in business and providing income, you get fantastic service overlooking beach, at fraction of price you...
