Mama Thai food & Drink — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Did not disappoint! We ordered a Pad Thai, Penang curry and some chips because a lot of portions we’ve had in Thailand have been small to keep the price low.. it’s safe to say that these portions were not small and were brilliant value for money! The most delicious penang curry I have ever had, I hope we return to the island again one day so I can have it a second time. The waitress advised us there would be a long wait for food due to takeaway orders coming in alongside a busy restaurant, we’re so glad we waited and the wait turned out to be quicker than she suggested which was a bonus...

I stayed at the hostel opposite to this place for around 9 days and I ate atleast 7 times here. The first thing you notice about the food is the enormous quantity. The food is also very delicious and they would help you modify the dishes as you like, for example, make it spicy or vegetarian as per need. most dishes are under 100 bucks with makes this place great bang for buck. The shakes are delicious and you can also ask them to modify them as per your need. I also saw some people working from here. Went here due to the good reviews. They should be open until 22:00 according to Google. We arrived 21:10 and the place was packed. We waited for a table for 10minutes, without anybody recognising that we were there. Then the waitress turned the "close" - signs on the door, while completely ignoring us. One table became available right then, so we asked if we could sit down to eat. They told us that the chef was tired so they were closing! No apology. So rude! They were very arrogant, I don't recommend because of this! Can not comment on the food as we did not get the chance...
