The Mexican Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Outstanding! Burritos are moist but not too wet, skillfully and generously wrapped, and just the best I've had in years! By far the best on the island! We've been there two days in a row with my girlfriend because it was just a blast! I was considering giving fives stars despite the music that is way too loud, but the loaded chilli fries could really be fresh potatoes and not defrosted as it is actually the case; it was a bit a bummer to have such balanced and well made chilli con carne with japalenos topping fries that were not matching the quality of the rest... I'll for sure tell them and I'll review my review if they changes that detail because it's just a great place that would deserve to become one of the island's iconic western restaurant! Staff is super friendly and devoted, food (if I didn't say it enough) is beautiful, and it's very pleasant to eat whilst watching people on the market downstairs...

Beef burrito is our favourite of all... Go for it!

NB: I see that other reviews from the place are referring to the former version of the restaurant and the former management, they don't do seafood anymore, and the poorly wrapped burritos I saw on other pictures are definitely from another time. This version of the restaurant is a newer thing, and the place has had quite a few unsuccessful former managements before. Just for info...

I wish them to be more successful than their predecessors, and it seems...

That said, the Mexican food is top-notch. I’m not sure if they have Mexican chefs, but if not, they deserve an extra thumbs up just for pulling off such tasty dishes. 👍🏻

We dined early, so we were the only ones there, which affected the ambiance a bit. However, the staff's full attention made up for it. I can imagine the place buzzing with a lively atmosphere when it's busier.

One downside: there’s no toilet in the restaurant, and the nearby facilities are a disaster zone. It’s not the restaurant’s fault, but definitely worth mentioning.
