DISH Steak Surin ดิชสเต็ก สุรินทร์ — Restaurant in Surin Province

Always hard to find a good steak in Thailand and tonight was the same, paid 400 baht for a steak that was 10mm thick and obviously well done. We were never asked how we wanted our steaks which should have been the first warning. The beer was cold and served in a frozen glass. The coldest beer I have had here. The meal was served with a fresh salad but was really only lettuce leaves with a sprinkling of cabbage and corn. The service was non existent, we had to clear our own table and waited for over half an hour for drinks to arrive. They were not busy. With so many great thai food places around I am surprised they had any customers. The decor was great and my friends pineapple smoothie was excellent. Great for a cold Leo and a smoothie but...

I think this restaurant is overrated.

Pros: good friendly staff. Close to bus terminal. Good beer selection. Nice atmosphere.

Cons: food quality very poor. Noodle salad very sour and inedible. Prawn spaghetti has 3 small shrimp with zero flavor and not sauteed at all. Also extremely spicy. French fries were fresh and tasty.

Would i go back? Maybe, but wouldn't order the...
