Wrong Way Cafe — Restaurant in Ubon Ratchathani Province

Tucked away in Ubon Ratchathani, The Wrong Way Cafe is an absolute gem. Their Sunday roast is hands down one of the best I’ve had outside of the UK—crispy roast potatoes, perfectly boiled veg, rich homemade gravy, and proper Yorkshire puddings. Bonus points for offering duck as an option—juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection.

Just two days ago, I had the bangers and mash. The sausages? Homemade and full of flavour, like something straight from a village butcher back home. Smooth mash, lashings of gravy, and a comforting, nostalgic hit I didn’t expect to find in this off-the-track little spot.

This place is a meeting headquarters for expats in the greater Ubon area. I went there to meet up with the Ubon Hash House Harriers for their monthly hash.
