If I had to guess, I would say this restaurant has been here for something like 10 years. I have avoided going here, but I finally went in for lunch. I prefer dining in family -owned or stand-alone establishments whenever possible, I generally avoid eating in franchises unless it is absolutely necessary. Having spent a lot of time in Japan, I learned a lot about what constitutes good japanese food. So it was understandable that this kind of buffet setup doesn't appeal to me. In short, I will say the suki is OK, so if that's what you want, this can be an acceptable choice. My Thai companion agreed with that assessment, although the specially featured Australian beef was full of gristle and was so chewy that it was very difficult to eat. There's a large selection of sushi maki, and I sampled all of it. Every piece tasted like it had recently come out of the freezer. So basically you are eating a lot of cold rice. If you go out for sushi, I highly recommended to patronize a place where the sushi is made fresh in front of you. The taste difference is night and day, even for something as humble as sushi maki. The gyoza dumplings at Shabushi and the shrimp tempura were also cold, even though they were on a platter below a heat lamp, which apparently wasn't working very well. I asked staff to heat them for me. Unfortunately, heating them up didn't help because they are just low quality. That's the unfortunate truth. After the meal, we regretted our choice to have lunch here because there are so many better options available.

I am not much on hot pots. Usually, there are not enough veggies to choose from. Had to take carrots from the other line. because I wasn't getting anything on our line. The meat was fresh and tasty. The nagiri was fresh & had a few choices. I was pleasantly surprised. The service was over the top. Never had to ask to have the table cleared & the server was very helpful in getting my needs met. I would recommend you eat here.

The food available to cook was about the same as our local steamboat buffets in phon phisai but with no crabs. The price was 3 times as much. A lot to pay for the privilege of having it delivered on a conveyor belt. The sushi was average with a reasonable choice. I get my hands sticky eating sushi but unlike nearly every restaurant I have been to in Thailand there is nowhere to wash your hands. You have to go outside to a nearby public...
