Brunch & Munch — Restaurant in Udon Thani Province

We frequent this restaurant. Tonight we arrived and ordered as usual and received our drinks and complimentary bread. Note, a large party was present with around 10 people. The group for the most part had received there orders. My wife ordered and I proceeded to order. I order a Australian Rib Eye, Medium Well. Anyone that is a foodie, knows rib eyes are normally approximately 3/4-1" thick, with a good amount of fat. About 15 minutes goes by, my wife's and daughters food arrives along with the appetizer. They begin to eat and complete. My food is nowhere to be found. We asked if they forgot, the server said NO. 30 more minutes pass, still nothing. At this point we are becoming stir crazy as my daughter ha been sitting for 45 minutes and already ate her dish. The steak and mash potatoes finally arrive. I immediately notice that the steak is not a Ribeye. It was a square 3"x3" cut, cooked medium. The first cut in showed to be a Sirloin, very low grade cut of meat. Mash potatoes were instant and the texture was shown to be not fully cooked. Spuds from the potatoe powder was still gritty. We immidiatly called the server and she and he proceeded to laugh. The moral of this experience is, this place will serve you something you did not order and charge a premium price, then laugh. This is not a misunderstanding or mistake, it was purely intentional. Not to mention, doing his to a Customer that visits weekly multiple times. I hope that the owner see this comment and makes the proper adjustments. We will not be returning. It seems the staff has no prior training experience nor do the chefs. For the price point, my recommendation is to not give them a chance to do what they did to us. If it's charm you want, this place has it to spare. And I absolutely love they way they make Eggs Benedict. Maybe a bit pricey for Udorn, but man, it's great.

Took my family there for Christmas Eve dinner. My son loves the pasta carbonara, my daughter loves their soups and garlic bread. I really enjoyed the tacos. Since it's located at UD Town, super convenient location. Good service and a friendly atmosphere.

UPDATE!!

WE WENT THERE ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT TO CELEBRATE, BUT IT WAS KIND OF A DISASTER. They simply did not have enough staff. My wife's order took one hour to arrive at the table. At one point I had to leave the table to go find some plates.

It wasn't just us but we could see that all of the tables around us were full of people who were waiting a very long time to get partial orders. Restaurant tried to bill us for three waters when the check finally arrived but we had only received two-- we had ordered three but it was sent to another table. When dishes finally did arrive, we overheard nearby tables telling the staff to pack it up to take home, that it was too late.

Management needs to fix this situation or customers won't be returning, and I don't want to see this restaurant hurt by an unfortunate scenario which hopefully they can quickly fix.

Totally disappointed with the price to quality ratio of this establishment. I ordered fish and chips. Fish was extremely thin, over cooked and dripping in oil from the fryer. The chips where just frozen Macro Crinkle cut french fries. The spaghetti Bolognese lacked any sauce at all. The other two dishes where basically rice and fish and rice and beef. Both drastically overpriced. When I told the waitress about the poor quality of the ingredients and greasy fish no effort was made the rectify the situation or offer made of compensation.
