Please do not believe the hypes from ‘travelers’ who probably never set a foot there… and save your money. Went for dinner on a stormy evening so we started outside but moved in at the first thunderstorm. Of course the location is brilliant. And the house is quite impressive. Equally of course you get there crossing the hotel which itself is on the top of a steep hill, but they have shuttle buses. The rest was a disaster, I mean it is a restaurant so the food is important. Waiters were confused and slow, even though there were only a handful of tables served. I swear the food was simply ‘old’. I can only assume they don’t have a kitchen and they get it from the main hotel restaurant. Zero attention to detail. My papaya salad was served with a sticky rice who had gone completely dry. The chicken sate were stone cold, served on what would be the charcoal grill, if it was on. We sent that back. One main was grilled tiger prawns and I don’t think I ever had such dry prawns in my life. The other was squid, and it was lukewarm and rubbery like the one you get in Chinese all you can eat. The only good dish was a fried morning glory salad. I struggle to understand how this is possible since the place opens only in the evening anyway I mean there is simply no way that that sticky rice was cooked on the same day. All of this for 2000 THB including the taxi to get there from round the corner. What a disgrace. The 2 stars are for the location, the food was...
Read more👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️ My husband and I came on a Saturday evening. Although we preferred ordering ala carte dishes, they had buffet instead, costing about 950++ per pax (excluding drinks) We decided to just try it out since we came all the way down.
The setting is beautiful as the tables are right by beach. That’s the ONLY plus point. (But there are also many other options that give you sea view etc)
I was unimpressed with the food. It didn’t taste authentically Thai. Such a disappointment. Even though it was buffet, there were so many times that the staff were not prompt in replenishing the food when it ran out. They had to be reminded over and over again and even then, there was NO sense of urgency.
The customer service is HORRIBLE. It took us about 20mins to get any wait staff’s attention and we waited another 20 minutes for our drinks to be served.
I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. I’ve been to different parts of Thailand and by far, this is the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered.
Do not waste your time and...
