What we ordered: Chicken Dumpling with Shrimp Crystal Shrimp Dumpling Steamed Chicken Siew Mai with Shrimp Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice with Chicken Deep Fried Chives with Beef Dumpling Duck Noodle (Soup) Aromatic Garlic Fried Rice with Onsen Egg Drinks: Chia Seed Rose Water with Lime & Longan + Bandung
Knowing that this restaurant is very popular, we made dinner reservations. We were greeted warmly by the staff at the entrance and were escorted to our table. To order, we were guided to scan a QR code pasted on the table.
Dim sums were steadily served as we began on our mains. The steamed dim sums were all delightful. Served perfectly steamed and visually appealing. Every morsel in the mouth was a burst of distinct flavours as we delved into each basket of dim sums. Their fillings were succulent and the skin (crystal dimsums) was elastic and soft. The fried beef dumpling had a crisp with each bite and were not too greasy. The fillings were stuffed full, well-seasoned and juicy. We broke out of our comfort zone and tried the Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice. This, in fact, is lo mai gai but it looked and tasted different from the conventional ones we get from convenience stores. The rice is infused with the fragrant woodiness of the lotus leaves. The salted egg yolk centre was like a little flavour surprise which was quite delightful. Overall, the dim sums were prepared and cooked well, offering a striking balance for optimal taste and texture. They were also exceptionally portioned and sized. Simple sauces such as chilli, vinegar and soy were paired with our dim sums.
Duck noodle soup broth was comforting like a hug which was apt as we visited on a gloomy rainy day. It had a sweetness to it despite its soy sauce herbal taste. The noodles were cooked to perfection - springy and had a slightly chewy texture. And with a generous portion of noodles, it was a satisfying bite in every strand. Noodles had slices of roasted duck which were tender and flavourful, braised shitake mushrooms and blanched bak choy that still had a wonderful crunch to it. Had to be careful of the duck bone shards though.
The garlic fried rice may seem simple or basic but it’s the combination of the simple ingredients which makes this dish exceptional… as they say, “less is more”. The rice had the distinct “wok hei” flavour and seasoned well with crispy garlic bits sprinkled onto the rice. The onsen egg was perfectly cooked with a runny yolk. When both egg and garlic bits are mixed into the fried rice, it gives the dish a unique flavour profile that was impeccably umami. Best eaten with your favourite dim sums!
Someone call the health police because the drinks ordered were 'potong kaki' (literal translation: cut leg) sweet. Absolutely needs diluting. 1 serving of Chia Seed Rose Water with Lime & Longan can apportion into 2 servings when diluted. It was so overpowering you can't taste the lime. The Bandung would make you hyperglycaemic - not enough milk and too sweet.
TL:DR
Best to make reservations as the restaurant is quite popular.
Buy one Chia Seed Rose Water with Lime & Longan, dilute and share for 2!
Order all dimsums if you aren't going for any mains as they are quite filling on its own. Personally would've preferred if they had slices of ginger in soy sauce to eat with steamed crystal skinned dimsums. That would be YUM.
Noodles were delicious with generous portions and delicious warm broth!
Order the garlic fried rice to accompany your favourite dim sums.

Review: Authentic Dim Sum Delight in Singapore
If you’re in search of a satisfying and authentic dim sum experience in Singapore, this spot should be high on your list. From the moment you step into the restaurant, the aroma of freshly steamed buns and fried dumplings hits you, setting the tone for a memorable meal.
Ambiance (4/5) The restaurant exudes a welcoming vibe, combining traditional Chinese décor with modern touches. The atmosphere is bustling yet comfortable, making it perfect for both casual family meals and meet-ups with friends. It’s especially lively during peak hours, so be prepared for a vibrant dining experience.
Food (5/5) The dim sum menu is extensive, featuring both classic favorites and innovative dishes. The siew mai were perfectly tender, with a hint of umami that lingered delightfully. The har gow (shrimp dumplings) were wrapped in delicate, translucent skins, bursting with succulent, juicy prawns. If you’re looking for something unique, try the salted egg yolk custard buns—a creamy, indulgent treat that delivers a delightful contrast of salty and sweet. The cheong fun (rice noodle rolls) were silky smooth and paired well with the rich soy sauce.
What really stood out was the variety of flavors and the quality of the ingredients. Everything tasted fresh, and the dishes were executed with finesse. The presentation was also on point, adding to the overall enjoyment.
Service (4/5) The staff were attentive and friendly, though the service can feel slightly rushed during busy periods. Despite the fast pace, our food arrived promptly and was served hot. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations.
Value for Money (4/5) Prices are reasonable given the high quality of the dim sum, though not exactly cheap. It’s worth it if you want an experience where every bite feels carefully crafted. Plus, there are good deals for group dining if you plan to feast with a larger party.
Overall Rating: 4.5/5 This dim sum restaurant is a must-visit for food enthusiasts craving authentic Cantonese flavors in Singapore. Whether you’re a dim sum traditionalist or someone eager to try modern variations, there’s something here for everyone. Just be sure to make a...
Read moreWe heard about this place for some time but didn't actually bother to check what the hype was about. We finally did & was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, service standard & overall cleanliness. (Some of the important criteria for us). Since it was just the two of us at 6pm on a Saturday, we came without making prior reservations. Several tables were already occupied. We were seated at a table that was reserved for 7.30pm so that gave us ample time to savour some of their dishes. Their menu showcased an array of dishes to try. For a Halal Chinese dimsum restaurant they have quite a variety. We had 3 types of dumplings, vermicelli rolls or chee chong fun, shrimp salad, duck rolls, chicken feet & sliced fish congee. Served piping hot they did not disappoint though I have to say the sauce or marinate for the chicken feet was a tad overpowering but I suppose they did indicate "with special sauce" 🤭. The dumpling skin was thin enough & not rubbery or chewy. The content of the fillings was just right. The congee portion was probably good to serve 4. As I observed during the almost one & half hours there, for bigger groups especially on weekends, lunch or dinner I strongly recommend making reservations. So yes we will definitely come back to try the other variety of dishes to satisfy our...
