House of Tea — Restaurant in Arima

WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! What an Absoluuuuteleeee fantastik day my Mum and I had this morn at The House of Tea. We had breakfast. My Mum asked Ms. Shermaine Rivers ,who was attending to us, in the most Bubbly and cheerful manner ( similar to those perky American hostesses) who was the owner of such a Georgeous little nook ......she Quite cooly said that She Was. I was alsolutely Blown away and not even a gentle breeze was blowing. She was That down-to-earth enough to reach out to her guests by actually taking their order and serving too boot. Quite Impressive. Yuh know how dem owners and borse an dem like tuh bring orf an play dey high n mightee....well Ms Rivers Knows the meaning of Service with a warm Trini Heart. And on top of that, she is well-trained in her hospitality-service-catering field. The breakfast was well-done, prices Reasonable....no digging out of anyone's eye... I left The House Of Tea remaining Totally Impressed with: The owner,Ms.Rivers and her simple and very efficient,adept service and her broad-based training in her field of choice. The lovely day that our Highest Power had granted us. The casual and effective efficiency of service we experienced. The Meal and the affordable prices. I do Highly recommend The House of Tea!!! This was a private event for my 40th birthday.. Everything from setting up the event was great. From start to finish.. The owner (Shermane) was very accommodating and Flexible because we even started a little late and finished later then plan but she was sooooo accommodating.. I truly appreciate it. Love the staff, the place, the food, the drinks, everything about this location was great.. The ambiance is wonderful with Excellent food and service.. I love all detail in the decor, you can tell the place was developed out of love. Will definitely be back when I’m in Trini again.. I had a set menu for my private birthday dinner it event was incredible.. Loveeeee this location!! I’m a business owner myself so I love to see another woman in power doing...

This was the worst food I have ever had from any cafe. I had the pasta and also tried the burger. To start, the burger came out with very burnt onion rings that the chef clearly didn't care to change or fry over. It was sent back and we were given new rings thankfully. The pasta was so severely over cooked that it would just fall and break off the fork, the Alfredo sauce had zero flavor and to top it all off, the shrimp tasted like salt fish, it was extremely salty, a measly 5 shrimp that were over cooked and dry. The place was extremely warm since its outdoor seating mainly, so it's prone to flies. The service was okay but the experience left alot to be desired.
