Toppers Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Trinidad

The food here is great! Hence the reason I recommended it for my niece bday dinner. Our group was of 8, my sister n her fam reached, while awaiting us. Now upon arrival I have my id on my phone gallery along with my vaccine card also my teenage son one. They won’t allowing me to go in because I need physical id, when question what is the purpose of physical and what they going to do with the physical id they can’t answer, but it’s ok for the vac card on ph🙄anyways I called my sis n niece out front n gave her bday gift n told to njoy. Now my sis ask the manager lady so can’t her nephew my son stay for dinner wit them she said no because his parents have to be there physically🤣 so my sis ask so what if he did come with us then what? Ok now so his mom is here let her sign a consent form for him to stay & have dinner with them. No again! apparently she doesn’t understand or even know what is a consent form🙄 I told her don’t worry you all njoy because apparently this manager needs a some more education. My son has traveled internationally with a consent form from me recently 🤷‍♀️ what the fuss was. Now my niece was real annoyed for her bday & they wanted to leave, so they decided to leave for JAXX @ c3 which I called & they were accepting id on phone, which was extremely welcoming with great service & food. Their lost 🙄 anyways that type of management & you can clearly see the ego & attitude the manager had which was so disappointing to customers which caused the establishment loss of customers. Ps.don’t feel mighty & let ur ego get the better of u when you think u hold a lil position, u never know who you had the opportunity to serve..e.g fully established business owners😉 so was a big lost for that establishment, sry I recommend my family here,...

Grand Bazaar..Terrible closing Staff...on March 30th we headed out for a late drink we arrived at Toppers approximately 9:45pm which they advised us the kitchen was closing at 10:00 we would have to place our order asap, which wasn't a problem. At around 10:30pm our waiter came over asking us if we wanted anything else as the bar is closing my bf had ordered a Carib at this time they started to clean up and turn up the chairs in the patio area it was us and two other tables. The Carib we ordered just wasn't tasting right so we called over to one of the girls to locate our waiter to get another replacement. In that period the ladies one in particular was making comments like "do we have all night ti wait for these people" "i wanna go home i turning off lights, they can sit here in the dark and drink there beer" carrying on with her self in a rude manner. A lady in a blue shirt then came by to ask about the beer my bf told her is was tasting like it was spoiled...her response was "well if one taste so then so will the others!!!" this was the assistant on duty! Toppers is not a cheap place, people go there to relieve there day. I understand everyone wants to go home at closing time but to drop inappropriate comments not needed. I am not from here and customer service where I am from is very important. As it should be anywhere in the world! at the end of the day your paying your money for a service! BEWARE...

We arrived minutes to 8 on a Friday evening had our temperature taken and was offered indoor or outdoor dining. As soon as our server came to the table she said the kitchen was closing at 8:30 so we should order our food soon. We put in our orders for drinks and food including a milkshake, chicken pot stickers and trifecta combo. The bar was out of stock for most of our first choice drinks and the server forgot to bring one of our drink orders after 3 choices down the line. The trifecta combo was tasty but the quantity of food was very little compared to similar restaurants and price point. We had to remind rge server that we didn't receive our pot stickers twice and when we asked for another round of drinks we were told the bar was already closed. We understand that covid regulations means things work differently now but if we had been told the bar was closing at 9, as we were told about the kitchen, we would have ordered accordingly. Definitely won't be patronizing...
